Summer Time

It's hot and humid in Houston, Texas.
But I'm thankful for the pools, air conditioning, Fun Day Mondays' and air conditioning.
What I'm sad about is my truck window motor is still broken. Not high on my list now, but if it worked, I'd be thankful for that.

There really haven't been any adventures in my life lately. I'm planning a wedding with Melissa...we're getting married March 12th, 2011. I got a promotion with my job...very happy and excitied about that. And I'm ready for cooler weather so I can train for the mountain bike race series this winter.

I'll post pictures later.

A New Passion

2007 Gary Fisher Wahoo...SPD Clipless Pedals...30.7 lbs With proximity to Golden, CO, this is where I rode when the weather was nice.

Constantly trying new lines and improving every ride.

Got oxygen?

Sherman Creek Trail near Illinos Pass.

A concrete jogging/biking path near Arvada, CO. Who can resist going fast?
Melissa can't!

After hours of biking, a much needed rest.

After College...May 2008

After graduating from Texas State University in May of 2008, I moved to Granby, Colorado. From May-August of 2008, I was a summer intern for the National Sports Center for the Disabled. My job was to lead clients with disabilities into the wilderness through biking, camping, climbing and rafting.

I was blessed to meet three new people that summer (Cy from Maine, Courtney from Colorado and Amanda from Iowa) and was able to live with them in the mountains. Though we worked together in stressful events, time after work was filled with nightly fires, cooking, and drinking. What fun that was!

Several times, maybe eight, Melissa came to visit me in Colorado. Her job allowed her to be gone and see different parts of the country. Kelly was fortunate to come after a hurricane cancled school. I think they had a good time.

In early October or maybe late September 2008, I moved to Golden, Colorado. Angela, a mutual friend through Melissa, was doing an internship for the Colorado School of Mines. She was awesome enough to let me stay on her couch for over half a year. Wow! During that time, I worked at REI in Boulder, CO and for the City of Boulder, igniting the start of a career in aquatics.

Below are some of the pictures of my time in Colorado. I'll be back soon...for good.

A New Adventure of Sorts

Greetings from Cypress, Texas.
This blogging is a new adventure for me. MySpace didn't last longer than 6 months and Facebook doesn't allow Blogging and I never started Twitting. We'll see how this goes...
